Re: What's hot on Trademe right now!

Hi Chris,
Sorry about the dot, I have not listed something like this before starting at just $1 so nervously hoping it climbs up to somewhere near the vast fortune I had to pay to buy this lovely bass!

Re: Photos now added...Pearl bass guitars ??

There was a brand new Pearl Bass in the music shop, main road Henderson, not far from where the Police station used to be - this is going back a while now - 1979. Re: 1970's Jansen Bassman Bass

Great photos of some good times by the look of it! Thanks for posting them! I did not know the Jansen Bassman had been around even in the '60's. Re: 1970's Jansen Bassman Bass

Well, the neat part about it was that the church had a contents insurance policy, and I was able to replace the Jansen with what I thought was a very flash 1978 Ibanez Silver Series Precision copy. Kept that for 6 years, but sold it when I got my hands on a Gibson Ripper.

1970's Jansen Bassman Bass

My very first bass was a NZ Jansen Bassman, cost $75.00 second hand in 1980. Stripped it down and sanded and painted the body bright red the day after I bought it (before it was a grotty brown), had it for a year before it was stolen out of the Massey Anglican Church where I left it for one night. I...

Maton JB 4 Basses

I would be very keen to hear from anyone who has owned or played a "Jum Buck 4". Bassist Clive Harrison had a heck of a lot of good things to say about these Australian guitars in his book "How to play advanced bass". And if anyone knows of one that is for sale - let me know!
