Re: KP Electronics - Auckland

That is indeed sad news... thanks for letting us know. :(
I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent with KP and have a great respect for him.
He was a great man and an excellent guitarist known by many.
He will be sorely missed.
Blessings and condolences to the Prictor family.

Re: KP Electronics - Auckland

Hi all. I'm very sad to say Keith (KP) has had some serious health issues in recent times and they have recently come to a head. I'd suggest you call the Rockshop (who used to be the Genz Benz agent). That would be my first stop as they may have spare parts. For those that know KP, I believe that he...

Re: Music software for tablets

That switch looks great Nev... they look to cost around $130 in nz. I went down the MobileSheets route on my Android galaxy tab and it's been great. I had the dbase corrupt once about 8 months ago but as it's easy to backup to Google drive / dropbox restoring is easy. Since then the developer has be...

Re: Playing ampless in small venues

Yeah I hate the sound of amp less gigs too. You can pickup some basic Shure inears for only $200 @ the RS so maybe should just try it. When I use in-ears it's with a digital mixer that allows me to customise my own monitor mix.... and that makes a huge difference. I still use an amp... and often I'l...

BassPlayer.co.nz looking Funky? (in a bad way)

The site just had an upgrade which change around a lot of the templates.
Hence if things an't looking right, just clear the cache in your web browser and 'hopefully' it'll all come right.

Re: Solid state heads - GK or Ampeg? (or SWR?)

Thanks for your input all! It's all just a matter of preference I guess. Hard to know without trying first, so I guess I'll have to go window shopping for some window shattering goodness. Now I just really have a question about Watts. The 800rb I'm thinking of is only 300w (+100w for the highs in b...

Re: Looking for a stage amp

Hi Mickey Roland amps have always been great quality from my experience so you can't go wrong. As an alternative, that could offer you a lot more grunt yet portability.... I just purchased an Ashdown 1x12" + horn 250watt lightweight cab from music planet for use in our church. They are currently on ...

Re: Music software for tablets

That's sweet, thanks Nev. I've been wanting to do this myself with my Galaxy Tab. Most the musos I know use ipads but I can't remember what app they use for it.... I think it might be called 'gigbook'. Has some pretty handy features... much like you've described. I think there is an android version ...
