Re: Top bass lines of all time ...

You would have to argue about #25 "Come as you are" as the bassline is ripped from Killing Joke 80's Argue about this one: ;) 1. Another One Bites The Dust (Queen) 2. Roundabout (Yes) 3. Money (Pink Floyd) 4. Super Freak (Rick James) 5. Thank You Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin (Sly & Family Stone) 6. A...

Re: Pick problems...

I have always played with a pick, I dont do finger style or slap. I play with a .73 anything thicker than this and I cant play quickly, check out the attached for bass playing pick style

The SD pickup is great, but I haven't liked their 2-band preamps that much so far. Haven't tried the 3-band ones, though.

Whats the total cost for fitting, I hear you do paintwork as well , it will need to be re blacked...

Re: Whammy bar

Hi there, I have a tremolo( whammy bar) fitted to my bass. I love. it. I went with the Khaler rather than the hipshot, I think its a kinda Gibson / Fender , Ford / Holden thing there where you either like one or the other Glyn from http://www.mrglyn.co.nz fitted it for me last year. It still needs a...

Re: mistakes on recordings

I played a chorus riff over an outro in one of our recordings.Same key just not quite the same feel. I had planned to do it and everyone expected me do do it except the sound engineer. To this day it still sounds great to me,but I dont think the enginner liked the way it went at all.

Re: STRINGS

No I use rotosound swing double ball strings. Always have and as long as I can get them always will. I generally bring them in from the UK 1 set at a time. I bought 5 packs of trace elliot light 90`s and hated them . damn awful, dont ever go there. undecided as to what strings I will put on my Hohne...

Re: STRINGS

Never actually played a set of flats. I have a new bass which isnt a headless, so I may give it to MR Glyn and have him set it up with flats. for a change in pace

I like a 95 E, not sure how I`d go with a 105

Re: Do your kids play?

My kids are mad to play 7 and 9 but my basses are too big, Have been looking for a shortscale for a while but no luck so far. Dont want to fork out a wad on somthing that potentially even with all of the interest may be a flsh in the pan. The 7 year old likes to play on the bongos, much to his mothe...
