Yeah i had talked to Rob about Wal basses - he offered me to come over and try out / play his set of Wal basses but was not interested in selling. Such a shame because he is local and has a great collection of Wal basses.

I have been looking for around a year or more so far without being able to seal a deal - mainly due to sellers being reluctant to ship international.

If anybody is aware of somebody who might be interested in selling, let me know, because it would be a great help
Thanks :)

Rob Burns - there is a man with some real bass cred behind him. Sold him a jazz bass a few years ago and when I realised who it was I almost felt I should have paid him for the honour..............
FWIW he was delighted with the bass, Fender custom shop 64 jazz. Never should have let it go. Took me ages to find another to replace it.

Rob is my bass tutor at uni, funnily enough he just swapped his 6 string Wal for a 4 string fretless!
Can't wait to try it next lesson (if I'm lucky)

Rob posted a pic of his new / second hand 4 string Wal fretless to the Wal FB page - it looks great. That 6 string that he traded it for also looks wonderful too - i think it was a prototype 6 String Wal and was 36 inch scale if i remember correctly? Anyways enjoy your up and coming lessons with Rob :)

Pity about the fretless P body
The neck looks 9.5/10

Put a few things up today: Stu Hamm Urge Signature, Fiftieth anniversary jazz, Custom shop 55P, Fender Super Bassman and 810 neo cab, Markbass combo, pair of Ampeg 210 AV cabs.....all in great working condition, no issues. Bought Marty's two Barefaced One 10s from him, which along with my Barefaced Four 10 gives me huge cab options from 110 to 610, plus I have a wonderful Bergantino 215. Too much gear not getting used

Love the look of the Customshop P, but not brave enough to start the conversation about another bass at home
