Here's my old band's one and only music video for a song called Checking The Sun.

I like John's video from Miss Demeanour on Cuba St - I recognise at least 4 people in that video!

like the intro dancing :)

you got thr melody pretty good, nice one

for those not int eh Prince loop that cut is from the album "The Rainbow Children" which is a badass slab of funk if I ever heard one. Criminally underrated record, not quite Sign of the Times but still a staggeringly piece of modern music.

Thanks! Yeah mate it's (another!) new one. Went into the shop to pick up an Ashdown 2x10 and left with the bass as well haha. It's technically a Fender P but has 2 groups of jazz pickups for a humbucker style set up. Sounds massive!

I saw those basses the other day at rs, a jazz too, but with a double set of precision pickups. Wondered how they sounded as I didn't have the time to have a play around, tempted as I was! Think they called blacktops? or something similar? Not too badly priced from memory too?

Yeah man, blacktop is the one. To my ears it sounds great, I'll do a more "bass player" demo soon. Best thing is, it's another good knock around bass for on the road!

Nice one Dan. Man that bass get good harmonics or you just have great technique. Probably the latter
