Re: BASS / AMP PICTURE THREAD :: Get your cameras ready!
My dream/actual line-up comprises passive Fenders and active Stingrays. From left to right, with my personal seedings/rankings in brackets, my bass family is:
* White Limited Edition 2011 EBMM Stingray5 classic (1) - one of 100 5 strings made
* Sunburst Fender Jazz 2006 Fretless MIM (6) - modded with Badass bass bridge, EMG-HZ pups, and hipshot d-tuner
* Pearl Blue 2003 EBMM Stingray (3) - my first ray, modded with hipshot d-tuner
* Fender Jazz Highway 1 US (4) - sounds hot to trot, so funky
* Fender Precision Highway 1 US (5) - I never used to like p-basses initially but hey, we all get there in the end
* Pacific Blue Limited Edition 2007 EBMM Stingray5 (2) - sooooo good on tone, feel and looks
I like it how there's symmetry in there with the sunburst twins, blues brothers, and the honkys.
Not getting any more basses. Ever. I love the sound of passive Fenders and for funk (which I what I mostly play), I've always loved and never looked past a good old Stinger.

Lovely basses you have there. Everything Leo Fender touched/designed was magic including the P-bass, J-bass and the Stingrays. The G&L L2000s were great basses also but less common but equally as great as his other creations in my humble opinion. Liked your youtube clip you shared. Good luck with the up and coming gigs

Re: BASS / AMP PICTURE THREAD :: Get your cameras ready!
I was lucky to come across a couple of 1980s era Marshall 1936 2 X12 cabinets recently on Tardme, and have replaced the speakers with bass 12 inch speakers. The cabinets are constructed from birch ply. It was a bit of a gamble as to whether it would work, vibration wise, but they sound great matched to the 1974 year Superbass head.

Bit of a Christmas present to myself

Godin Shifter 4 classic, nice P/J thing discovered in the rock shop. Made in Canada, IMO holds up nicely to MIA fenders but at half the New Zealand price (they are actually similarly priced overseas by the looks)
Re: BASS / AMP PICTURE THREAD :: Get your cameras ready!
Very nice. Is it shorter than 34 scale?
Re: BASS / AMP PICTURE THREAD :: Get your cameras ready!
Nah it's a standard 34" scale, 20 frets (or however many frets goes up to the Eb)
Re: BASS / AMP PICTURE THREAD :: Get your cameras ready!
Whoa, Whoa, WHOA! Not sure what to get excited about here. Is that a Rick on the wall and a Solo 610 on the desk?!? Is Santa giving you credit for the last 20 years?

Re: BASS / AMP PICTURE THREAD :: Get your cameras ready!
Thanks Marty,
I'm not entirely sure of the brand. it is obviously a Baby -type bass. Cant find any names or markings anywhere, inside or out.
I got it from a chap in Wellington a few years ago. It was refinished in white when he got it.
I have since added a second pickup (on the back of the fretboard), added weedwackers and recently had it refinished in black and candy apple flake.
She is rockabilly mean machine!
