Read the Q and A

If you think it's fair game to charge whatever you can then it's fair that others might call you up on it.

I see an Akl store is stocking Baccus as well.

Just a headsup it is my Dingwall fiver on TradeMe.

Great bass, as new, plays like a dream and sounds the same. Just find that I always gig with a four string so not a lot of point in having it lying around. I have enough trouble with four strings live let alone five
Great bass though, and wonderful tone.

The bass looks cool. Never played a bass with a multiscale neck. I have heard they are great once you get use to it. GLWTS :)

Hi Foal, yes it went for $1430. Great bass and a real gift for the lucky buyer. Five strings are not for me, dropped D is fine when I need it. Considering a Dingwall 4 string Super P, but would have to sell one of the custom shop precisions to justify it... Plus I am a little busy directing at the moment so less gigging happening.
Hope all is well with you down there.

You know how good my Four 10 will be- owning two One 10s as you do, Marty  . I have only been using it with all tube heads, but I can imagine it would be great with solid state/class D as well. It has a clear character to it which is very euphonious, not immediately obvious as such but I suppose some would see it as "less transparent" - however it is still very detailed. Absolutely sings with grind when you push the tubes a bit, too - and I am one who up to this stage has always preferred a clean tone. Very easy to schlep, real light and quite small for a 410. Wonderful spread of sound, easy to hear on stage in the mix and as loud as all heck if that is your thing (it is not mine though). I was hearing myself so well with the band that a couple of times I asked if I should turn down and was told it was great. So far I prefer it most with the Orange AD200 and the Trace Elliott V4, Fender Super Bassman was so versatile with it I have not even partially tried all the tones available and yet to try the Ampeg V4 with a band.
Lovely gear, would love to try some of the other Barefaced cabs - if I was thirty years younger with my gigging career ahead of me I would I would just grab a couple of different flavours of Barefaced and be set for life.

Hey Foal, you still loving that Ashdown 300? I had a less than impressed view of them based on hearing one of the smaller models with an Ashdown cab. Had a check on the net and some of their cabs apparently weren't that wonderful so that probably coloured my view since the heads seem to be getting plenty of love. Looks like you got a really good buy. Will certainly let you know when I am down your way and try to catch you at a gig. Still really impressed with the Barefaced Four 10 cab, it really does sing with tubes driving it.
All gigs on hold for me this year as I have an ill relative to prioritise. Such is life :(

Yeah it's pretty bloody good. I do like Orange AD200 watt as well. I just don't need two big amps I think....

Just picked up the Custom Shop 64 Fender jazz relic that I won on TradeMe at the weekend. Wonderful bass with great feel and vibe. Looking forward to getting it home and cranking it. Still can't believe I got it for 2K and no-one else bid with over 40 watchers. Mind you, someone actually asked whether it was made in America  .
I was trying to keep the herd down but just couldn't resist this one. And it's a major keeper and player. I was starting to get nervous taking out the 63 J as it is almost like Auckland house prices even though it has a re-fin, so this will alleviate that problem.
Three CS Fenders in the family now with the two 59 Ps (one strung with flats, one with rounds). The Rick will be looking for a mate soon :? . Thought I had thinned the herd too  . Still, this has proved to be one of those "too good to be true" deals that really is that good. Shows that TradeMe still can occasionally deliver that special deal - the very helpful seller said some didn't bid because they thought it would go for much higher. Mind you, my autobid was set to go higher, just goes to show it is worth having a go sometimes rather than wait for a relist or offer. Call me one very happy camper.
