Anywhere to source Seymour Duncan Basslines in NZ??

Post by CliffH » Sun Jul 17, 2011 6:28 pm

Hi everyone,
Is there a shop carrying SD Basslines anywhere in NZ? If so, where? If not, are there any overseas suppliers all of you like using? I'm finally going to start building a fretless and I'm not sure if I'll use the Basslines for it or drop those in my current bass and use the MEC's out of it and put them in the fretless. Haven't really decided yet. :) Thanks for any and all help....

Yep. SD is imported and wholesaled by South Pacific Music in Auckland, and primarily retailed by their own Music Planet shops. However any shop that deals with South Pacific can get them or may even stock them. There are Music Planet shops in Auckland (3), Tauranga, Wellington, Nelson and Ch-ch. Also, google Music Planet and you'll find they have a strong website.

Thanks for this. I'll have to see if they have moved location down here since the quake or I'll just have a look through their online store.

May I quietly suggest going with http://www.bestbassgear.com/basslines-pickups-sjb3.htm...
The NZ dollar is so good against the US, that you'd be silly not to go for it.
