Instrument Cables - ones that lasts and are good value for money?

Post by bronzet » Sun Apr 12, 2015 12:35 pm

Hey there all. I would like to know if anybody knows of any cables (jack to jack instrument leads) that they would recommend to others. I am not wanting to spend an arm and leg - maybe up to 60 max. I have been using the Rock cables and they are not good at all. They stop working reliably after a few months of use and i have found them not good value for money, even though they are dirt cheap to buy. I have also heard that the Planet Wave cables can be a bit hit and miss also and they are a bit more expensive than the Rock Cables. If you have any recommendations, could you also mention where you can buy them and what approx cost they are.
Thanks

planet waves have a limited lifetime warranty. you may have to keep your docket, or probably the packaging, but they are well worth the money.

the lava stuff are top notch and within your budget.

Couldn't disagree more, everyone I know who bought them ended up returning them several times per year until they get sick of it and bought something decent. Even RockCables are better and those are pretty crap too.

I've always used ProCo Lifelines, some of mine are over 12 years old. Oceania sell them, can't remember exact prices but they aren't much more expensive than the crap brands.

im pretty sure i kept loosing mine instead of having them faulty.. but i guess everyone has different experiences. those silent plugs they had definitely didnt work unlike the neutrik ones.

i ended up having the braided orange dimarzios. those wont get stolen... or instantly recognisable when they do
