Yeah that map is amazing. Shows there's been a whole lot o' shakin' goin on!

Must be Welly's turn soon ...

The rate of aftershocks seems to be slowing down now, city's slowly coming back to life but for a lot of people it's going to be a long slow process of rebuilding. It'll be interesting to see if it affects the music scene - ie whether any venues will be out of action for a while. Hopefully not.

My GK amp didn't even skip a beat, by the way. Almost sounds better than before ... but that might just be my sense of relief

Yeah, probably is your sense of relief .
That is good they seem to be slowing down, really scary stuff.
Re the the rebuild process. It must be devastating for the people who have lost their jobs, homes etc. I can't really imagine what it would be like.
Yes we welly folk are due for it..

That map is crazy. I've heard of aftershocks, but that's just insane...

As far as damage to venues go, I think the Wunderbar in Lyttleton is not in good shape at all.
I am supposed to be doing a gig next weekend in town, but haven't heard as yet if it is still going ahead.

I'm just happy Metallica haven't pulled out, there would be riots if they did!

Hi guys,

We are currently in Cromwell, but checked in with family in CHCH and they have come through unscathed.
We were there for Sept quake, we felt this one down here.

Any news about Foal30? My family are all ok but we're very concerned for a family friend who we strongly suspect is trapped in the CTV building.

By the sounds of it, he wouldn't have had power last night Steve. Hopefully we'll hear from him today

I live down the road from Foal30, and passed him in the street. Seems that he and his are good.
