Here's a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and health, wealth and happiness to all bassists and their families. May the next year bring us lots of gigs and relief from G.A.S!

Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to all fellow bassists....
Rare thing this year for me.... no gig on NYE, singer couldn't secure a gig and guitarist asked for the night off.... got a wedding gig 27th Dec, then nothing until end of January 2015.
Wife wants to have a few friends over for NYE, but I'd rather go out.... anyone know any good gigs in Akld city / Nth Shore on NYE?

PS I'm almost too embarrassed to ask what G.A.S is (apart from the one I get after a really good curry!)

ahh thanks.... learn something new every day
Sadly I've only got 1 bass and 1 amp.....don't really have a need for another bass, although a 20-50w practice amp would be nice...... maybe I'll write a last minute letter to Santa?

exactly.... my wish list is long and expensive... my bank account balance however is a little short....
on my wish list is a new hard case for my bass, a 20-50w practice amp.... along with a big ampeg or messa boogie rig, musicman sunburst bass.....

I'm tempted to buy another bass cab to go with my 4x10, but then part of me wants to get rig of lugging cabs around and get a 300-500w combo.....
