I read the band name as Bushrash

Zoom Delay/Reverb I'd guess Antz. Maybe a touch of envelope filter.

like the bluesy guitar lick 1/2 way first verse.
feel is good , let us know when you put a CD out Chris.

Thanks guys, hey foal our own take on it is "ButtScratch" Jason is an awesome guitard !

I used my Zoom B3 with the SVT Sim,and a hurriedly chosen effect which was the Vintage Flanger. Just slapped it on un-tweaked and hoped it sounded ok.
We ran a DI from the zoom and a mic on the cab,P bass volume and tone on full, but trouble was I had too much pre gain on the SVT sim (I discovered after the recording) and I was verging on the brink of nasty distortion when digging in which is not my personal preference.

Thanks again, will keep you posted on developments,we are heading back to the Cabana Wed night to try and get 3 more tunes happening, so we will have 10 altogether.
Wait till I get a few beers under my belt and I might get the balls to post up a couple more I have here

edit...hate to toot my own horn but the bass riff inspired this songs inception and I can lay claim to the bridge :D

here is another, again not a final mix, you hear what I mean about the bass almost distorting, and my crappy fretboard work not helping either :P

Love it. You are a really solid, forward, driving player.
I really like love song , it reminds me of the psychedelic furs or the church

thanks dude, and its just a collaboration of 4 guys jamming and coming up with some song ideas and jamming some more, but not often, and as you know it's great fun.
I wish I had been better "prepared" for the one takes on the bass tracks that sunday and I guess I can always redo stuff but I hear it and think "yep,I guess it sounds like me,and only me" . plus I also enjoy the thought of capturing a "moment" when recording,as thats how it "was",right then, raw and live !
but dunno how perfectionists would see that view . :)

It is hard not over thinking your takes and wanting to improve them til the cows come home but who will really notice unless it is really bad? And you might loose that energy if you do multiple over dubs.

Nice riff, well executed and good song.

8/10 overall ( the first take ) That's twice what Bevan Chuang gave Len Brown ( via Whaleoil)

I've yet to listen to the other takes...

Update.....
Just spent the weekend at the fantastic Tsunami Sound Studios in Levin recording 3 more originals.I cant rave enough about the studio and Dave and Adele who looked after us and made things happen.
This is the first time in my playing career that I have ever set foot in a recording studio and what a great time we had !!!!!
We were a little under prepared when we arrived with one semi complete song and 2 "ideas" which we managed to formulate into 2 new tunes over the weekend and record all 3.Bit rough and ready but thats how I like it.

My P bass went to the desk (72 inputs I might add) via my Shuttle 9 inbuilt DI and sounded really good, well just as a P with fresh rounds should sound to my ear.
Will try and get the 3 tunes loaded up on soundcloud when I get a chance.
Again I did all 3 bass tracks in pretty well one take with a couple of minor mistakes tidied up.Again how I prefer to do things.

Check out the studio web site... http://www.tsunamisound.co.nz/ :D

An extremely rewarding experience I shall never forget. 8)

edit and thanks for the kind words everyone,I am really self concious hearing myself play....very !

Awesome. Can't wait to hear it.
I just had a look at the studios site and it looks pretty sweet. What is the Arai Pro II Bass they have?

Hey John,I never saw the Arai bass.
Dave (owner) said it was his,he plays bass too.....when he told me that I felt even more conscious about playing
