Do you usually need to bring an amp to lessons?

If you're a music teacher, or you know a teacher you recommend then please let everyone know about them.

something that i've always wondered...

I know every teacher is different but do teachers usually ask students to bring an amp or do you just leave it at home ?

If a teacher doesn't have the facilities you need, then you should find another teacher! There is no way you should need to take an amp to a lesson :)

A good teacher would ask you to bring your amp to a lesson once, so they can look at it and 'hear' you through your gear.
Otherwise, I'm with Dan.
