So as most people know T-birds are very badly balanced

. Been saving for ages now to buy one and found out its ALOT worse than I thought. A bit heart breaking when your 17 working at pizza hut trying to get a decent bass.
Just wondering if anyone knows any good fixes for this problem?
Thanks,
Jack

Usually the solutions would be;
Get a big leather strap which won't slip off your shoulder
Reposition the stap button to find somewhere which will make it balance better
Add some weight to the body through things like sinkers and whatnot blutacked into the cavity.
That's in order of most likely - least likely to want to do for.

Its not an issue of falling off my shoulder, the head just wants to hit the floor all the time
After that comment though, and looking at the gat, I don't think it would need much and i'm thinking maybe just a small weight attached to the low end of the strap? Any thoughts?

Did you try it out before buying? Or just buy for the look of it

Ross the bassist for Hamilton Band 'Next of Kin' uses Thunderbirds and he has moved his rear strap button higher. It seems to work for him. I tried it on last week and it sat down by my knees. He is a true rock bassist if ever I met one, Nikki Sixx would be proud. I have tried Thunderbirds but am not quite worthy of playing them yet... ...I would love to try a 5 string model.

I really think it would mess up the look of the guitar moving that strap button. Anyone thoughts about moving the top one behind the neck? Of course I tried it

I was just too in awe at the time to think about the tiny downfalls... I'm sure everyone here knows what that feels like

No i don't mean it popping off to the side, i mean when the head want to go south if you've got a grippy strap it won't move.
