This will get some laughs

Post by john » Sun Jul 26, 2009 3:31 pm

Check this out.
I got an old Kawai 12 string guitar for real cheap with the intention of turning it into a fretless bass, got the twelve string because I guess it is used to a bit more string tension and has a bit bigger body...

I just got it because I like messing around with stuff, never had dreams of grandeur with this thing , scale length and all that.

When I got it it was painted black so I started stripping the paint, wanting to take it back to wood . But found there was bog in places where it has been damaged .
So I give up on it looking remotely any good ...
I am going to keep it looking like a piece of crap

The bridge saddle bit is a chopped up chop stick:lol:

Look at it

But...it actually pulls of an upright sound quite well:eek: not real good but it's fun to play around on at home

Sound sample recorded with a sm57 on a cushion through a berheinger desk into audacity

Yeah it's like a guitar, But I put the bridge a fraction to far back, so intonation on it is a bit out

OK

where did the (rest of) the photo go?
down the side it's truncated, and then a big logo for Track Mania of all things. :)

Foal - The problem is that the photo is quite wide and your browser window isn't wide enough to view the whole image (the bass is out to the right hand side of the photo). Maybe you can maximise the browser to fill your whole screen and then you will be able to see it. If it is already filling the whole screen, you would have to increase the screen resolution to see it.

I didn't realize it was to big for some computer settings. I thought Foal was making a joke that was going way over my head
I have cropped the pics now. Hope it works now Rubin

score!

dig the trapeze bridge John
potentially too light weight but they look to cool to remove eh?

also hooray for Nev's prognosis
not that I'm quite sure about resolution or browser
