Christchurch Bass Day 27 MAY
could well be the #1 social event of the calendar, however we need a date, time and possibly venue
also some people to attend
but don't sweat the small stuff
SUNDAY 27 MAY 12NOON - 3.30 PM
PM me with expression of interest and I'll flick ya my details.
There will be 3 rigs to play through but bring your Bass and your Groove.

So are we going to pack all our gear into your room and then stand outside?
If so, keen.

Sounds good for me. Of course, Murphy's law will dictate that is the day my youth group starts bible study lunches

Re: Christchurch Bass Day
I'll send the drums elsewhere and re prioritize the rest of the room.
I suspect only Tony will bring a rig, I'll have 2 set up here

Damn,
That would be Sunday the 6th May?
Flying out to Oz 4th May for a well deserved break.

Re: Christchurch Bass Day 27 MAY
time and date confirmed. PM your attendance please so I can cater appropriately (via my Wife) as well as supply directions
I'd put the details up but there's enough people after me as it is without giving them a map eh.

Re: Christchurch Bass Day 27 MAY
Did you mean Sunday the 29th of May, or Friday the 27th?

Re: Christchurch Bass Day 27 MAY
Folks,
I can bring my rather condensed rig for your trial/comparison. Basically an Ashdown MAG300 combo using 2 x 10 speakers.

Re: Christchurch Bass Day 27 MAY
I'm in...could bring a combination of rigs depending on whether there is a request for something specific from another member. Will bring the lightweight amp (Genz Shuttle) plus one of the following:
2) Vintage valve rig (plus my laptop running Guitar Rig Kontrol)
3) Monster valve stack (plus my laptop running Guitar Rig Kontrol)
4) Rack based stereo rig (preamp+effects unit/valve parametric eq/power amp)
Will bring the Spector (because its awesome), Steinberger 5 (for Ruben), Pre EB Stingray (for SJJ) and the Pentabuzz. The Celinder J and Shuker headless need work to be finished on them. So not in a state to play at the moment unfortunately.

Re: Christchurch Bass Day 27 MAY
good one Steve.
I want a go on the Spector V as well please, is it 35" scale?
rigs, confirmed is
1x Jansen BassMan 50 w/Ashdown ABM Cab
1x Orange w Genz Cab
1x Ashdown ABM w/ Ashdown Cabs
so the shuttle GB sounds like a good thing to try. If people can vocalize what they are likely to bring it may help with planning/space, do we need any more amps/speakers? ie: I think we have Ashdown and GB covered now
Nev are you considering a trip north? John a trip south?

Re: Christchurch Bass Day 27 MAY
I think Tony is pretty keen on the Akai pedal. Pretty sure they go for near insane coin overseas.
