Been doing a little recording over the last month and have been playing around with blending DI and miced cab signals. I've tried it before, but never really got it to sound great. I found this which really helped and thought it was worth sharing. Interestingly, his use of EQ is very subtle - it is more about which part of DI and which part of the Cab signals he uses, and how he uses compression.
